Deliverable checklist
The file opens with any text editor (Notepad, TextEdit), or you can paste it into your notes.
Deliverable checklist
Go through it on the final version (the PDF, or the file you send), not on the source. A checked line = checked by you, not only by an AI.
Deliverable: ______________________ Version: ______________ Date: ____ / ____ / ________
| # | Point | How | Done |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Spelling | The software’s spell checker, then read the headings and important sentences out loud | ☐ |
| 2 | Figures | Recalculate every total and every percentage with a calculator | ☐ |
| 3 | Dates | Does the day of the week match the date? Is the year right? | ☐ |
| 4 | Names | Every name of a person, place or product written the same way everywhere | ☐ |
| 5 | Links | Click every link in the final file: it opens the right page, and the displayed address is really the target | ☐ |
| 6 | Rights | Every image, font and quotation has a source and a license, or permission (lesson 4) | ☐ |
| 7 | Readability | Enough contrast, text large enough; also look at it on a phone and, if needed, printed | ☐ |
| 8 | Layout | Page by page: page numbers, table of contents up to date, nothing cut off or shifted | ☐ |
| 9 | The file | Dated name, expected format, document properties (author, title) with no information you don’t want to share | ☐ |
With an AI, as a first pass
Check this document before it is sent, page by page.
Check: spelling, figures and totals, dates (including the day of the week), names (consistency from one page to the next), links, and readability.
For each problem: the page, the exact quotation, the problem, and how sure you are (sure, probable, to be checked).
End with what you could not check yourself.
Then go through the checklist yourself: especially the points the AI says it could not check.
