Reviewing your project

In testingChecked on 24/10/2026 (French version)Translated on 27/10/2026

This lesson is still being tested: it improves with learners' feedback. If something is unclear, it is the lesson that needs fixing, not you.

Follow this lesson with Claude Code

With the course companion installed, open Claude Code in your working folder and type:

/formation-ia:suivre m06-l06 en

It reads the up-to-date lesson on this site and guides you step by step, without changing anything without your consent. Install the companion. Claude Code is not included in the free plan: an eligible Claude subscription, or a Console account billed by usage for the terminal.

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to

  • compare the result of your project with your success criteria;
  • say what the AI gave you, and where it went wrong;
  • measure what you can do without help;
  • choose what comes next: a new project, or a module.

Why it matters to you

A finished project often leaves a vague impression: “it’s done”. The review turns that impression into concrete lessons, in half an hour: what worked, what got stuck, what you can now do on your own. It is also the moment to close the project cleanly, and to choose the next one without starting from zero.

Understand it in 3 minutes

A good review answers four questions:

  1. The result: is each “It worked if…” criterion met, partly met, or not? How did you check it?
  2. Working with the AI: where did it save you time? What mistake did you spot, and how?
  3. What you can do without help: before and after the project, with your own opinion.
  4. What’s next: what you would do differently, and your next project or module.

A project that was scaled down or stopped has its review too. That is even where it teaches the most: why the plan didn’t hold, what should have been seen earlier.

The AI helps you remember, not judge yourself. It can reread your sheet and your journal to find what was done. Your level, your satisfaction and what comes next are for you to decide.

Do it together

1Step 1: Gather the facts

Here are my project sheet and my journal (or my handoff sheet): [paste them]. List what was done, the decisions made with their reason, and any scaling down. Don't add anything that isn't written.

With Claude Code: “Read the sheet for the current project and the journal pages for this project, then make this list.”

2Step 2: Compare with the criteria

Open the Project review resource, and fill in the “The result” part: for each criterion, yes, partly or no, and how you checked it. You are the one who ticks the boxes.

3Step 3: Working with the AI

Based on the sheet and the journal (or the handoff sheet) that I gave you, and only those, suggest three moments when the AI saved me time, and list the AI mistakes that are noted in them. Write "to be specified" if nothing is noted. I'll choose what I keep.

Do it in the same conversation as step 1, or paste the sheet and the journal again.

Keep a request that worked very well: it goes in your library (module 2).

4Step 4: What you can do, and what’s next

Fill in the “What I can do without help” part, with your letters A, M, S or –. Then choose what comes next: a new project (starting again from lesson 1), or a module according to your profile (the Paths page helps you).

Finally, put your project away: sheet, review and documents together, in the archives if you use Claude Code (module 5, lesson 7).

Your turn

The deliverable of module 6: your project carried through to the end (finished, or scaled down then finished), with:

  1. its project sheet up to date;
  2. its journal or its handoff sheet;
  3. its review filled in, with your next step.

Resources to download

  • Project review: the result compared with the criteria, working with the AI, what you can do without help, and what’s next.

Check your work

It worked if:

  • each success criterion has its answer (yes, partly, no) and its way of checking;
  • the review mentions at least one AI mistake that you spotted, and how;
  • the “what I can do without help” grid is filled in, with your opinion;
  • what comes next is chosen and written down.

Common mistakes:

  • a one-line review (“it’s done”);
  • letting the AI fill in your level for you;
  • forgetting the scaling down: those are the best lessons;
  • starting a new project without putting the old one away.

Keep it and pick it up later

  • Keep your reviews together: after three projects, reread them, and you will see your progress.
  • Module 6 is finished: you know how to run a project from the idea to the review.

Going further

optional
  • The following modules are specializations: extending your assistant (module 7), automating (module 8), several AIs (module 9), polished documents (module 10), images and video (module 11), tools and websites (module 12). All the modules are open: the Modules page presents them, with their prerequisites.

New words

WordWhat it means
ReviewThe end-of-project look back: the result compared with the criteria, and what you take away from it
Module deliverableWhat you keep at the end of the module: here, a project carried through to the end with its sheet, its follow-up and its review

Check your understanding

3 questions, no grade. An explanation appears after each answer.

1Your project was scaled down along the way. Is that a failure?
2Why write down a mistake by the AI that you spotted?
3Who fills in the "what I can do without help" column?

What's next?

Module 6 is finished. Depending on your profile, the Paths page suggests what comes next: a specialization module, or a new project.
